Burn directly to CD-RW

Is there a way to burn files directly to a CD-RW rather than having to
confirm that the files waiting to be burned to CD should in fact be
burned? I would like to be able to choose my CD drive as the default
for backing up files from certain programs, but when I do this, the
files seem to stay in the temporary area until I click to confirm the
files should be burned. Thanks!

This resource describes the capabilities and limitations of the built-in
burning program, and hints at what other programs can do.

You need third party software. The inbuilt XP system does not do it.
