Hello,

I have been unable to backup my files onto a CD-RW in Windows Explorer
and have tried other programs such as Nero and Roxio with no luck. I
was able to do this but then upgraded my OS from Windows ME to Windows
XP home edition. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Jeff

How are you using the CD-RW? Read/Write methond, you will need to install
Nero inCD or Roxio Drag to CD.

Sounds similar to a problem I had after upgrading from 98 to XP. I used
Easy CD Creator 5 under 98, and left it on the disk during the upgrade. Big
mistake. The fix was to uninstall all traces of Easy CD Creator, then
re-install the same version, plus patches for XP. When I did the uninstall
I had to maually edit the registry, with directions from Roxio. Now, I have
heard that they offer a small cleanup executable that will uninstall all
verison of Easy CD Creator.

So, uninstall all CD software, thoroughly. Then, re-install XP-compatible
version, or version+patches. For Easy CD Creator that would be verion 5
pathc to 5.35 or so, or version 6. I do not use Nero, but assume that the
latest version is XP-compatible. For info about earlier versions, contact
the software vendor.

I have tried to burn the cd-rw by dragging and dropping the files to
my CD-R drive in windows explorer and in Roxio Drag to CDwith no luck.

Any other suggestions.

Thanks
