bup and RM files

I am trying to play and edit a .bup file in windows movie maker. I know this
is some kind of DVD encoder or something. I dont have a dvd player in my pc
but can I convert this file into something that I can view and edit in movie
maker XP? Is there some software that converts or do I have to have a DVD
player installed on my pc?

You want to use the VOB files from a dvd, but they'll need to be converted
to wmv to be used. Try something like windows media encoder to do it for
you.

RM files are real media and again these need to be wmv.
