How did Bullseye spyware get itself installed in my cmomputer?

It looks like a regular program and installed in D:\Program
Files\Bulls Eyes\...

It was popping up like crazy whenever I used MSIE. Ad-aware 6.0 caught
it. I went into the installed folder and tried to uninstall it (there
was uninstall progie) and it would not complete the uninstall process
unless I had answered all 5-6 questions. Can you believe it? I was at
their mercy.

Adaware should remove it for you without the need to uninstall. All
you may have to do is delete the files. But the registry entries
should have been removed by the antispyware program. I know Giant (now
Microsoft) Antispyware does this.

I was making a point about its demand that I answer all the questions
before it would uninstall itself. It is like a thief invading your
home and demanding to give him something to eat and drink before
leaving your home.

It isn't at all. You have at sometime invited it onto your computer.

It's more likely than not that the thief was _invited_ to your
home.
