Bullets reappearing after Save

The Master Slide includes a bullet. On some slides I don't want to have a
bullet on a particular line of text. I delete the bullet on that slide, save
the file but when I reopen the file the bullet has reappeared. Can't figure
out how to make the change stick. Thanks.

What version of PowerPoint? Try changing the layout to the title only layout
for this selected slide only. It should leave your non-bulleted placeholder
as a textbox that won't reset to the Slide Master.

Thanks, that works. Version is 2003 (also tried on 2000) Doesn't seem like
you should have to have a work around for such a simple task as deleting a
bullet. We also just put a new text box on the page.

This is a bug!

If the corresponding text level of the first slide master has no bullet, then any removed bullets at that level will reappear after the file is reopened, no mather what slide design it's linked to! This is fixed in PowerPoint 2007.
