I have a template where the Master View is set to have no bullet at level 1,
but to include picture bullets from level 2 through level 5. When I use the
bulleted list slide layout and start typing at level 1, I dont get bullets
(as per the master) and the bullet button is not illuminated on the ribbon.
However, when I come to the next line and want the bullets to start, I click
the bullet button and press [tab] and I get the correct colour of bullet, but
in the style of the first default bullet in the gallery (small dot). The
same thing happens when I type a level 3 item and so on, but when I press the
Reset button on the Slides area of the Home tab, the correct picture bullets
appear as per the master slide. I can appreciate that because I set level 1
to have no bullet, PPT keeps the bullet button switched off initially, but I
can't figure out why it knows the colour of the bullet for the other levels,
but not the pictures until I press Reset. Can anyone help?
