Bullet point spacing

Hello, I need some help trouble shooting my bulleted lists in power point xp... each time I try to adjust the indent and/or tab settings under one bullet point, the letters of the first word on each line will not match up, they will be off by just a little bit. For instance, if I am trying to indent the second line in the bullet point and both of the words in the first and second line start with "t", one "t" will be lined up with the edge of the "-" cross of the "t" and the 2nd line will line up with the "l" cross of the "t" (a matter of a fraction of an inch but still noticable in printouts). I cannot seem to find a way to adjust the settings of the ruler tab or indents to help with the spacing and have tried the help menu. Is there any way to fix this problem or is there a way to automatically set the bullets to format the paragraphs underneath each bullet to align correctly

I hope you can help

Have you tried typing Shift-Enter at the end of the first line of the bullet
point? I assume what you are doing is trying to line up different lines of
text under one bullet point without wanting to use the automatic line
wrapping. What I have found is that the best way to make sure the
subsequent lines are properly aligned is to press Shift-Enter to force a new
line in this bullet point.

If you hold down the CTRL button while dragging the indent markers on
the ruler, you'll have more control over the indent settings. (If you
don't see these, you may need to turn on your ruler. View/Ruler.)
