I have a contact folder that has about 200 email
addresses. I would like to be able to send an email to
each of them without the others seeing everyone's email.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
That's easy. (Outlook 2002)
Just put all your Email addresses in the Bcc field. (Bcc
= blind copy, i.e. no one can see it, except the sender).
Nothing else is required. However, it looks funny to see
Emails in your folders with no To and no Cc addressees.
You can create a dummy Contact to go in the To field. For
example:
1. Create a Contact with lastname "Selected friends" (do
not use the quotes).
2. In the Email address field, enter your own Email
address.
3. In the Display as field, enter (in this
example) "Selected friends" (or whatever you want to see
displayed in the outgoig Email. Save the Contact.
4. Now send an Email. Type "Selected friends" in the To
field, and your recipients' Email addresses in the Bcc
field (as discussed above). Add subject and text and
click Send. That's it.
