I have searched the KB every way I can think of. I would
like to know the default permissions of the built-in
groups such as "Everyone", "Administrators", etc. Thanks
for your help.

Here is a link that may help. It does not however list the everyone group
which in a default installation has excessive permissions to the root/drive
folder but otherwise would have no more than read/list/execute anywhere else
in a default installation. Administrators have full controll access to
everything I believe by default. --- Steve

recommendations.

Thanks very much, Steve. That's very helpful.

what would be the impact if I delete the built-in group "interactvie" and "authenicate user" from the user group? But, this system would reside on a Domain and I would add specific groups to this machine.

I read the KB's from Steve but it doesn't say whether they can be deleted or what actual functions they have on a system.....

thanks
