i'm building a gaming rig. i was informed to install my operating system on
one drive and my games on another..basically running 2 hard drives. is this
really faster than just having one big drive to work with?and if so,how is it
better?

Hi mastablasta,

Theoretically you could experience some performance gain
by installing your games on a seperate drive from your system
drive as your system will be able to R/W to your paging file
for example at the same time as it's loading the next levels.

with the speed of todays systems, your not going to see any noticeable gains
by doing this. what you can do to speed up a little more is to move your
pagefile to another drive. this way your os and apps are reading on one and
your system is paging on the other.
