Yesterday, Microsoft delivered an updated version of the Windows AntiSpyware
beta via a refresh available to all Windows AntiSpyware users.

Since releasing the beta version of Microsoft Windows AntiSpyware in January
2005, Microsoft has continued to receive valuable feedback from customers. The
feedback is used to further evaluate the anti-spyware solution and to provide
ongoing enhancements to the software which Microsoft wants to make available to
its customers as quickly as possible.

The latest refresh, build 1.0.615, addresses issues pertaining to how Windows
AntiSpyware beta provides information to the user about processes running on a
PC, solves an issue regarding the delivery of new anti-spyware signatures for
some customers and provides new signature updates to help protect against
recently identified spyware.

Microsoft would like to encourage all customers to update to the latest version
of Windows AntiSpyware (beta). Customers will receive the beta refresh as a
software update or it can be downloaded through the beta home page:

I could not get an update from 614 to 615 via MAS File-Check for
Updates, but installing over MAS 614/5735 using URL above successfully
brought me to 615/5735 with no new updates available per manual check.

Good Job Microsoft! Microsoft AntiSpyware is a winner.
I've already used it multiple times to kill spyware on
computers that my friends/neighbors own.

Thank You.

When my system was autoupdated today, I got two instances in a row of the 'are you sure' type dialogs for the install.
When it asked to restart, the progress bar dialog was still showing half finished.

Aside from those two (totally cosmetic) flaws, it works fine.

The interesting thing is that is telling me everything is
up-to-date even though I am on 614. Do I have to
uninstall and reinstall again? Will it be important to
remove the gcUnCompress.dll file again?
