when trying to have both FP2003 and FP2002 functional
( custom install into separate directories )

(1) the display of site/page history files are "shared"
(2) if one has selected ( in FP2002 or FP2003 ) to automatically
open the last site, FP2003 will open FP2002's last site,
and vise-versa.
(3) menu bar customization in FP2003 is "removed"
from FP2003........ when FP2002 is run.

Number (3) is unfortunately but I don't see a problem with
the first two.

In general, you should try to transition 100% of your work
to FP2003 in a rather short amount of time. Like, a year
from now, or three years from now, you don't want to be
puzzling as to which are FP2002 sites and which are FP2003
sites.

My big complaint on the Recent Sites list (and has been
through several releases) is that it's too short.

is there some sort of trick to lengthen it or is that something that would
be more along the lines of an "add-in"?

It's a series of registry entries (File1 through File 4) at
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\FrontPage\Explorer\FrontPage
Explorer\Recent File List.

But if there's a way to increase the number of entries, I've never
found it. In Word and Excel, for example, its at Tools, Options,
General.
