Bugged Spybot?

Has anyone had a problem with Spybot not running? That is, when you attempt to run Spybot, its window opens momentarily then closes! This happens each and every time I attempt to run it. Could I have a virus on my PC that terminates Spybot whenever I attempt to run it? I've read of this somewhere but can't locate any data on a fix. Any ideas out there? Thanks for your help.

I've seen this sort of thing and at the moment can't
quote exactly what's going on (I'm at work; not at
home). However, if you go to the Spybot web page and ask
the author that same question via "contact us", he'll
respond shortly and send you a small executable that'll
reset things such that they work properly.

I'm speaking from direct experience on this: I know it
works.
