Bug when opening .JS files

Everytime I try to edit a .JS file I get following
message:



A script file D:\Documents and
Settings\xxx\Desktop\sss.js is trying to execute. This
file has been frozen from running pending your approval.

A JavaScript (.js) is a file that can perform almost any
type of task when executed on your computer.

What would you like to do?




I click on "Allow" because I want to edit it, but then
the .JS will be executed.

Hi Bill,

but this is not my problem. My problem is, that I have to
edit .JS files. I am happy if the AntiSpyware will block
the files, but if I right-click on "Open with..." -
"Notepad" I get the same message, ok for this. But

with notepad.

I didn't recall whether a workaround for the editing issue was covered in
the article or not--sorry.

If they don't give a workaround for the behavior, you will either need to
spot the checkpoint or agent responsible for the action that is interfering
with your work

Checking, I would suggest trying:

Tools, real-time protection, application agents, view application agent
checkpoints

Script Blocking.

Highlight it on the list and choose Deactivate checkpoint on the right.

See whether that fixes what's impeding your work. You lose, of course, the
protection afforded by this checkpoint.

If that isn't sufficient, you can turn off real-time protection completely,
either via the workaround in this KB article:

after they install Windows AntiSpyware (Beta) on a computer that is managed
by Systems Management Server 2003

or simply by shutting the program down.

Or perhaps uninstall the beta product, and wait to test further until it is
clear that this issue is resolved.

I think "Notepad.exe " and JS script is something
to check for MS.

Some malware makes a copy of notepad and About Buster
I think it was can recognise this .

Have search about it, dont remember and maybe this can
lead to a solution.

We are aware of this issue. It affects any script the first time the toast
pops-up. It will be fixed in a future release.
