Bug when modifying a report

I am wanting to make several reports, all very similar but
they get their data from different tables. I've made the
first report (works fine) and copied it to a different
name. Then I have entered in a different record source
corresponding to the different table. So theoretically, I
have a new report with new data. I have also changed all
the control sources to the appropriate new field names.
The problem I am having is that when I try to view it in
preview mode, it asks me to enter in a value for one of
the other fields which I am no longer using for this
report. Does this make sense???

Does anyone have any idea about this? Is it a known Access
2000 bug or am I not doing something right or what?

Any help would be great,
Thanks,
Matt.

You forgot to change a reference to a field in the other
fields. Take a look at the report's sorting and grouping.

I can't see where I have. No control is being refferenced
to a field which is not in the field list. All fields in
the field list have been put their by me using the record
source builder - so they are all available. Yet it is
still asking me to provide a value for a field which is
not being used at all by any control on the report.

Any ideas, anyone???

Did you check the Sorting and Grouping list?

YOUR A LEGEND!!! Thanks heaps for that! One of those
things which I never even knew existed. Everything is
hunky dorey now!

Matt.
