Buenas tardes:

During a spyware scan one cannot execute any mouse action (have not tried
keyboard) on the program window. It causes the scan to pause. When I
by accident clicked with the mouse on the window frame (using the
touchpad on my notebook here), the mouse pointer went arrows and the
scan didn't work on (the animation did, however). This looked like the
application had crashed. It is the same, if I try to open a menu or
something similiar during scan.

Anybody able to reproduce it? I am running XPSP2.

I seem to have this problem, too. I also have issues with
the program appearing to run (it keeps counting files,
animation keeps moving) for 16 hours without actually
getting past the scan. I am able to run other aps, but
the program does seem to lock up easily.

I'm running XP.

Did you look closely at the file numbers? It *seems* to count files, but
the number actually doesn't change. When I click in the animation, it
continues like it should, maybe this could help you?
