Bug report
The pop-up alert windows does not properly anchor. I
normally run with my task bar along the right side of the
screen (start button on the upper Right, clock with date
on lower right). Whenever the alert window pops up, it
just shoots at top speed up the screen so I can't read the
alert. But, if I unlock the task bar and put it down at
the bottom like the default does, then the window slides
up at top speed until it fully clears the task bar at
which point it stops.
Since my task bar is along the rigth edge of the screen
(so that I could read more info on each program and make
use of the quick launch feature) that alerter never sees
that it cleared the task bar so it continues to shoot up
the screen.
It would be nice to be able to read the alert window
because I suspect there is important info in it. But it
move too fast to let me go.
Machine:
Alienware Aurora DDR, Athlon XP 2800+, 1 GB RAM, 2 80 GB
Hard drives, ASUS A7N8X Deluxe MB, ATi Radeon 9700.
Running XP Pro SP2 (kept up to date) and Firefox as
primary browser. Bug happens in either browser.
