I have a bug report but can't find any anvenue to alert you
( Microsoft )

I hate using these newsgroups. They have the worst
interface and the responses are woeful.

Why produce a public beta and not have an official avenue
for bug reports?
 
What is it about the interface that you find is a problem? If you are using
the HTML interface, take a look back at the initial page that led you there.
If you scroll down, there are instructions for accessing the groups via
NNTP, using Outlook Express or your favorite NNTP reader application.

There have been more than 3,000,000 downloads of the public beta, so there
are some issues of possible volume of information and the staffing necessary
to handle that, among other considerations. Microsoft does observe the
traffic in these groups, and comment on specific issues posted in some
cases.

Please post your bug in an appropriate group here. That's one function of
these groups.
The clearer the information is, with steps to replicate the problem, the
better. Prefacing the subject header with [bug] won't hurt, either.

I cannot find the NG listed under msnews.microsoft.com but
this could be due to my bad eyesight

Not your eyesight at all--they are housed on a different server.

See Gunilla's first link, and scroll down in the upper pane to get clear
instructions--Gunilla's given all the details needed as well, though!
