I have just installed SyncToy 1.4 on my freshly reinstalled XP SP2 box and
still SyncToy is NOT the amazing tool it could be because it is ignoring my
excluded subfolders. I have a separate SyncPairs for my 'Pictures' and my
'Music' folders so I exclude them in the SyncPair options for my 'Documents'
folder but they still get copied/synced anyway so now I have 2 copies of my
'Pictures' and 'Music' folders on my network drive.
The interface ability to right-click on a folder/sub-folder and exclude the
whole tree is excellent but whilst the interface remembers these choices they
are somehow not being communicated to the business end of the tool because
the 'excluded' folders are being 'included' anyway.
This is surely a bug and a major one, would Microsoft care to comment on this?
Thanks for a great tool - now fix it and make it an amazing tool. Please.
