I question whether you choosing to reboot the system, and
it shut down instead, is really a) the program's fault
(for you losing everything) and b) something that you were
not, in any way, expecting.
Just in case you, or someone else reading this (although
I would assume that everyone doing a beta test would
already know this... right?), doesn't know this, I'll say
it:
"Before you restart or shut down your computer, make sure
you save your work."
