Bug in rules processing in Outlook 2003?

Jim

I have a rule setup to look for a specific word in the recipients address.
In particular this filters out our old email domain name so I have it
looking for anything with the word xyz.com for example and move it to a
different folder so we can check to see if we still have anyone using the
old email address. The problem is that this rule only catches 1 in 20 of the
emails with (e-mail address removed) used in the To: field. I used this same rule in
Outlook XP and it worked perfectly.

Other rules looking for words in the subject, etc seem to work great, I am
only encountering a problem when I look for a particular word in the
recipient's address.

Has anyone experienced this? Does anyone know a solution?

Thank you in advance.

Jim,

I am seeing mention of numerous conditions that can cause rules like this
to fail. Several of them were listed as being fixed in updates to Office
2000. Please visit http://office.microsoft.com and apply all the available
updates. If you can still reproduce the problem, post again to this
thread, and I will look into this further, but at thsi point it appears
this issue has already been fixed.
