BUG?: Can't Use Full Range of Text Box

Using PPT 2007.

'Sometimes' when I am typing in a preset text box, I am unable to use the
full length of the text box.

For example, if I wrote the above sentence in a text box, the line would
wrap after the word "unable" even though there is definitely enough room for
"to use" to remain on the first line.

I have already checked tabs and text box margins. As far as I can tell,
this is not some simple thing I am overlooking.

Thanks for any help!!!!!

What printer driver do you have installed?

Is it local (installed on the machine) or on a network?

What operating system?

If you install a new, Windows-certified printer driver locally and set that
as the default driver, does it fix the problem?

Use the printer driver mentioned in these instructions:

How to install a local printer driver
http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00605.htm

(If this works, could you please let us know -- and I'd love to get some
system configuration information from you to help pinpoint this issue.)

Pablo,

You have a couple of choices; 1) make the text smaller (select and change
the font size), 2) click on the text box, grab a corner and drag it a bit
until the word fits. I don't believe there is any hyphenation in PowerPoint,
it would make for terrible presentations.

Hi Echo,

printer driver is: HP LaserJet 4240 PCL 6
local
Windows Vista Business SP1
I will try the to make sure it is Windows certified and let you know.

Actually, please just use the HP laser 4V/4MV driver mentioned here:

http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00605.htm

If that fixes it, please let us know!
