Bug: AM time only on non-US time settings

If I don't set the computer time to 12 AM/PM format I don't have the chance
to set the time for the scheduled scane to an afternoon time. The time is
always set to an AM time, for example: 12:15:00 will show up after clicking
on "Update Schedule" as 00:15:00

Just installed the new version, here still not working correctly. I can't
set my computer time to 12 AM/PM format, have to use 24:00:00 format.

It isn't non-US, it is a matter of 12 hour versus 24 hour clock formats. I
often use the shorthand of suggesting a language setting of English (United
States) simply because, by default, that sets a 12 hour clock format, and it
is easier to specify than the full path down to the actual time format
settings.

Even with English (United States) settings, if you change the clock format
to a 24 hour one, the bug rears its head.

You only need to set the 12 hour clock format for long enough to set your
schedules in place. Once the schedule is set, you should be able to revert
to your normal standard, and the scans or updates should happen as
originally scheduled.

Hi Bill
I know that, but it's a bug anyway, even if there is a work around. Before
this product goes to production such bugs should be fixed as many users
wouldn't even know about how to switch and reset the time display to the
12AM/PM format.

This bug is definitely fixed in beta2.

Hil Bill

Is there a Beta2 available? Just a view days ago I got a new version
installed and it still shows Beta1. By what timeframe Beta2 can be expected?

Henry

Sorry--no, beta2 is not available and the timeframe most recently stated by
Mike Nash in a monthly security chat is "first half of calendar 2006."

Some details (and perhaps actual code) will appear in builds of Vista.

Very little concrete public data is available about beta2, but we've had
statements by Microsoft at one time or another that I (at least trying!) to
base my statements about what is fixed on.

Suppose I must be the last person on the planet to have found this time bug.
When will beta 2 be available? Or when will a bug-fix be provided?

Please could you explain the work-around?
Many Thanks,
Bill King

And I haven't found your message before this.

As a workaround, set Windows Language to English (United States)--then set
your desired schedule. After the schedule is set, change the language back
to your usual setting.

Beta2 will be available before March 31.
