Buffalo LinkStation - how noisy?

Hi,

I want to get a NAS. The Buffalo LinkStations look good. However, i want
to put it in my living room (where the router is); that means it has to be
compatible with other living room activity, such as watching DVDs,
listening to music, and having romantic candlelit dinners.

So, how noisy are LinkStations? I see that there are two models (the
2share and mini) that are fanless, and should thus be very quiet. However,
they're a bit more expensive than the Pro, which has a fan. If i had a
LinkStation Pro running in a corner, would that be noisy enough to
interfere with any of the above activities?

Not at all. I have a Pro sitting next to my monitor so I'm quite close to it.
If I have it doing backups it doesn't disturb me so I doubt you will hear it
over a movie or something on a TV 6' away for example.
