I'm creating a perceptual map for a class.

Can you specify a diameter for the bubble?

Can you create a bubble within a bubble? With a
perceptual map, you have a fine cut (inner circle) and a
fine cut) outer circle.

I'll need to track the movement of my bubbles each week.
They will only make slight movements. Any suggestions on
how to visually show this?

At any given time, there are at least 5 bubbles (products)
that I need to track. At times, they overlap (taking
advantage of multiple markets in the segment.

Thanks!

Hi Nancy -

When you create a bubble chart, you need to specify three ranges (X, Y,
and bubble size), not just two (X, Y). You do this most easily by
putting X, Y, and bubble size into adjacent columns, selecting this
range, and selecting Bubble Chart in the chart wizard.

To get the double bubble effect (couldn't resist, probably should have),
you need to run the chart wizard using a five column range containing X,
Y1, B1, Y2, B2, where Y1=Y2. Or make the chart with the first 3-column
wide range, then copy a second 3-column wide range, select the chart,
and use Paste Special from the Edit menu to add the copied data as a new
series.
