Did I read right about AGP going away when the new BTX standard comes
around in favor of PCI Express?

Yes, but that would have happened anyway. BTX has nothing to do with it,
except that (coincidentally) the BTX form factor is being pushed around the
same time as PCI Express will start gaining popularity. -Dave
