Btrieve is a database that has been around for 20 years. It used used
by quite a few accounting packages as well as many other types of
packages. If you need to extract data out of an old Btrieve database
you can take a look at BtSearch at www.nssdd.com. It is a useful
utility when it comes to Btrieve. Also Pervasive now owns Btrieve. www.pervasive.com.
Closer to 35 years ... I remember studying Btrieve in my
college back in 1976 and it was a few years old then. (a
loaf of bread back then was only 78 cents too)
