Who needs BT when you can have SKYPE !!

your thoughts ?

You can't use skype without an internet connection, for which you need a landline even for ADSL (& Cable I think). One of those Chicken + Egg situations!

I used a landline still, mainly as its more convinient (cordless phones etc...) but I'd use Skype in principle.

I'd put money on it that we have a single network pipe to our house that does VOIP (phone), Internet and On Demand TV services in less than 10 years. That will be fun :D

I don't have a landline and i have Cable Ian....:D

Well I didn't know that :D Do you use your mobile/VOIP for calls?

Skype's great for making Worldwide calls - free - but I do get disconnected sometimes.

For UK calls I use my mobile as I've SO many minutes to use up, I think I went for the wrong phone package, lol, I have, like 310 minutes spare atm :D

I rarely use the BT landline, that's there just for faxes and ADSL.

We don't have BT over here, just Cable & Wireless, so my answer has to be SkyPE.:thumb:

It's very useful for support calls to the USA, I just wish they would implement SkyPE at their end then it would be free, and you wouldn't mind being left on hold for 15 minutes!
