WMP6 doesn't seem to allow for capturing stills from playing media.
For once googling found something quickly for me, BSPlayer at
http://www.webattack.com/get/bsplayer.html that does support frame
capture. All attempts to capture images from playing media when
playing video with WMP6 using external capture methods have yielded
results that are too delayed (video capture that I have) vs black
screen capture (keyboard print screen + freeware PrintKey).
But BSPlayer souds just to good to be true. For 1078 kb, I get all of
this:
"BSplayer is a Windows player that plays back all kinds of media files
( avi/mpg/asf/wmv/wav/mp3/OGM...) and specializes in video and Divx
playback. It provides extensive support for subtitles, a resizable
movie window, resolution changing, desktop mode playback, frame
capture and more. In addition, it offers Pan-scan and custom pan-scan
options, bookmarks, adjustable playback rate, Drag & drop support and
many other features. The interface is skinnable and comes with several
different design to choose from. BSPlayer can be associated with all
(or selected) files types that are supported."
Wow, now doesn't that sound too good to be true??!! Of course, I'm
hoping it is exactly what it claims - good app but that also isn't a
nasty. Has anyone tried it out at all that can comment?
Thanks!
