Hi,

I'm having a problem installing the latest version of CCC. First I
tried to install the bundled driver and CCC provided by ATI. That
didn't work. I then booted into VGA mode and installed the driver
manually. That worked.

Now, I'm trying to just install the CCC. Whenever I do this, I get a
BSOD. Whenever I try to uninstall the old version, I get a BSOD. I
successfully used a driver cleaning program to remove the old CCC (even
tho the uninstall entry is still in Add/Remove Programs) but I still
can't install the new version. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Using: Windows XP SP2, .NET 2.0, and Radeon 9550.

Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling in safe mode? (press F8 during
boot up). Could be a problem with NET Framework aswell, have you tried
reinstalling that?

Yeah, I should have mentioned that. I tried both installing the new
version and uninstalling the old version in Safe Mode. Both gave me a
BSOD. I also uninstalled all .NET versions I had on my computer (1.1,
1.1 hotfix, and 2.0) and reinstalled 2.0. Nothing changed. Does the
Catalyst Control Center really need to be installed? Is there an
alternative program?
