First let me start off by saying I have exhausted all known solutions
for the following problem, so I am looking for something creative here!
:-)

3 computers
1 Dell Desktop
1 Compaq Laptop
1 Sony Laptop

No common hardware attached. All running Windows XP SP2. All are
receiving "IRQL Not Less or Equal" BSOD on shutdown only.

Here is the numbers for each machine:

Dell - 0x1000000A (0X000000b0, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x8052d696)
Compaq - 0x1000000A (0X000000b0, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x8052d4dA)
Sony - 0x1000000A (0X000000b0, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x805EE24B)

The only thing I can think of may be MS Updates causing the issue. I
downloaded and installed the KB929338 to no avail. I really have
research all options here.

When you start out by stating that you have tried all known options you are severely limiting anyone from suggesting a solution. I guess that leaves unknown solutions, maybe a crystal ball, secret chants, etc. I suggest you back up a bit and tell a little about when this started and what changed prior to the problem starting.

System Restore does work for a bit on all machines. However, they all
start performing the same error after a while. Updates on one PC have
been disabled.

Dude, 13 years in I.T. as a Desktop Support Specialist here. I rarely
post issues in the newsgroups, because I can pretty much solve any
issues dealing with the desktop environment. However there are times
when these unique issues arise that I rely on the newsgroups to see if
others have run across similar issues.

I am normally the one assisting those in need. Your response was simply
a waste of time for you writing it, and me responding.

But to humor you, it started out of the blue. First on the desktop, then
1-2 days later on one laptop, then the same amount of time on the other
laptop. No hardware or software has been added.

When I stated I have tried everything to resolve this issue, that means
everything my experience of 13 years has taught me. 3 PCs with no common
hardware producing a IRQ NOT LESS THAN 0x1000000A (0X000000b0,
0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x805xxxx) error is very odd indeed.

Hi Michael,
Did you tried the Memory test and clean Boot to eliminate those?.
I will look for CD/DVD Drivers, RAMs, Software that Residing and lagging
after a while or corrupted.
Look in the Event Viewer for any error messages (X) and you can troubleshoot
it yourself or share with us here if any error messages been found.
Try to use the AutoRun to see what was/were running in the background and
could caused this issue, since it is started on three machine in the same
Place I will look for Environment issue, ESD, Humidity, AVs or Dust or
Unclean Current on those machines or could be defective UPS that not
supplying clean current to these Machines.
Your lead should be the system restore, since it take a bit and then come
back to it's old trick the likely something in between is the culprit.
HTH.
Let us know and good luck.

Well, "dude", how would you respond to somebody who started out with the information you posted? My response wasn't meant to be insulting, but with no more information than that this thread is likely to turn into a long series of "try this", "I already tried that".

Are you sure about the error codes? Should be 0x0000000A instead of 0x1000000A I think.

If there is no common hardware, is there any common software on the 3 systems? I see multiple historical newsgroup postings about Easy CD Creator causing a problem like this, for example. If not that specific software, I would look at other software that is common for all 3 systems.

If this is a home LAN, is there a network printer involved, or other network devices? On the same premise, does the problem still occur if a system is disconnected from the network?

Positive about the error message. The only common software installed on
all 3 systems as far as I can see is Windows. They are connected (1
wired, 1 wireless, 1 not connected) via a wireless router. And that
would answer your last question, yes. :-)
