Hello!

I've got this annoying problem with my WinXP machine: everytime I connect a
USB mass storage device to it, I get the BSOD with the message
"NO_MORE_IRQ_STACK_LOCATIONS". This is on a laptop, and I have not installed
any new hardware components the last few months.
This behaviour started just a few weeks ago, and the only way I can connect
a USB mass storage device is to stick it in while booting.

Anyone who knows how to fix this?

Thanx in advance!

-Nils Magne

Have you recently installed any software components: CD recording
applications, backup applications, etc?

The only thing I can think of is Sonicwall VirusScan ASaP.
Haven't read anything about others having problems with this, and it is
working on other pc's in my office.

Replace it with Symantec, which is - from what I know - the stablest A/V
(though maybe not this good in "virus support" compared to Kaspersky).

I seriously doubt that Symantec would fix the problem.
I've heard people having big problems with their software.
I'm not even sure that it is the Anti Virus software that is causing the
problem. I'm not having any problems on any of the other machines.

AV software is notorious for causing this sort of problem. I suggest
removing the product and seeing if the problem goes away, and then
deciding what to do about it (as in try a different vendor's AV solution.)
