I recently shut off my Automataic reboot so I could see what my problem was. I get the blue screen of death error:

Previously, my computer did spontaneous reboots on a regular basis, with microsoft "Critical Error" message each time. No new hardware or software in recent days, except Google Pack, but reboot was going on before I downloaded that..

Help!

What happens when you re-boot the system do you still get that message come up?

Sorry, the Stop Error 50 is anything and everything ... 'cos MS don't know either

Start with checking your RAM, then drivers and then software like Trojan Rootkits.

Have a wonder around this site ... http://aumha.org/win5/kbestop.php ... worth a bookmark.

;)

Murdoch, When I reboot, it comes up OK, repeatedly reboots or comes up with a white screen that asks if I want to restore my active Desktop.

I ran the memory test from one of the other forums and it showed no problem with my memory. I also turned off the driver for an older program (Imation 120 Disk Drive). Will continue to check other drivers, etc.

Thanks for the help.
