Browsing Without "http://" Causes Error Message

I am running win98 second EDition with IE 6.0 SP1 with all
updates.

When I open the browser and type any website without
HTTP:\\ will fail.

For Example, I cannot type www.microsoft.com from the
browser. I have to type http:\\www.microsoft.com

Any IDeas? Thanks

Run the "Cool Web Search" Spyware remover Utility.
Here: http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/cwshredder.zip
Unzip the tool make sure that all instances of IE and OE are closed,
hit the executable, follow the prompts.
