Browsing through a Proxy while a vpn connection is up

Does any body know why I can not browse the web through a
proxy while I have a vpn connection up. I can browse when
I do not proxy or if the vpn is disconnection.

Any Ideas?
 
Yes - You will need to change the proxy server settings
for the VPN/dialup connection you are using in Internet
Explorer TOOLS, INTERNET OPTIONS, CONNECTIONS - dialup &
VPN connections list - Try the name first but IP address
if DNS causes a problem.

I have solved proxy settings changing woes by using proxy switcher (
http://www.proxyswitcher.com/ ) It works with lan, vpn and other ras
connections. It's not free, but it has certainly paid off for me.
