Hello,

I have 3 domain controllers in my network. The main DC
is also my file server. Currently I cannot browse the
server by hostname. I can ping it by hostname. I can
however browse it by ip address. I do have a bunch of
KCC errors in the event log stating that it cannot
replicate with an old DC that I took offline months ago.
The only other error that I am getting is that Event
Viewer says something about the time service not synching
with the other DC's but they all have the same time. The
only thing that I have done to the server lately is
install some hotfixes. I don't know if any of them have
messed it up. Thanks for your help.

Are you talking about not being able to browse it in Network Neighborhood?

Did you use DCPROMO to remove the old DC or did you just turn it off?

run netdiag /v and DCDIAG /e /v on all DCs and post any errors with an
ipconfig /all
