browsing BlueTooth device folders, was in XP

XP had a great feature to see and browse a BlueTooth device in Windows
Explorer. I could see my Pocket PC and copy files from and to the device.

Vista only has a Transfer File feature which dumps a file into the documents
folder on the device. Vista should have "enhanced" our experience, correct?

So, am I missing something, is it being worked on, or should consumers not
upgrade if they want excellent access they have been used to?

Clarity is power...

Erol,

At this time Windows Mobile Device Center is still only in Beta3. I don't
think anyone knows what is coming yet.

Hi Bill!

Thanks. Were you answering my other post asking about i730 support and
windows update version of WMDC?

My question here was about bluetooth folder browsing lost in Vista.

Cheers!

Erol,

Yep, I think that was me!

My IPaq does have Bluetooth, but my computer doesn't so I can't easily check
this one. I'm going to check the TechNet stuff for the Mobile Center and try
to get back to you.

Remember, we are still talking Beta here, not all the features may be there,
and some stuff just may not work!

Thanks Bill! You rock!

I've got a Samsung i730 and it have never been able to connect, since I
started on beta 1. Maybe it would be in there? Didn't seem to be an
activesync feature. Instead, it just seemed the bluetooth added the device
and exposed the feature to be browsed. (could be wrong though).

Connecting my i730 is the only thing I haven't been able to make work on
Vista. Everything else looks to be solid now in RC2!

Erol
