Browsing and AD

Should one be able to browse the network neighborhood without WINS but with
DNS installed in a Windows 2003 domain?
 
Hi David,

Browsing is completely a NetBIOS function. The AD and DNS won't help with
browsing at all. If you have more than a single subnet you will need Wins
for browsing.

Network Neighborhood is a legacy application and requires NetBIOS over
TCP/IP to work.
