Browsing across gateways

I am a teacher at a local school that has a wireless network and a wired
network. I am tryng to set up a file server on the wired network that can
store information from the laptops using the wireless network. All machines
are using Windows 2000 and TCP/IP. When I browse the networks, all of the
wired computers can see each other and all of the wireless computers can see
each other, but the wireless computers can't see the wired computers and
vice-versa. I can ping across the networks and can connect to shared
resources using an ip address, but this is impractical in my school
environment. When I use the network tools to snoop around, I see that both
networks share ip addresses for WINS and 2 DNS servers, but they have
different default gateways! The ip addresses on the wireless computers are
10.7.73.X and the ip addresses on the wired computers are 10.7.65.X. All
use the same subnet mask. I have tried listing the ip addresses of both
gateways in the tcp/ip setup, but I see no change. DHCP is enabled on all
computers and all ip's are set automatically by DNS. If I try to assign
manual ip's, i loose internet connectivity through a common proxy server.

Please, can anyone help me get this thing configured so my students can
browse across the network? Thanks very much!

Browsing requires NetBIOS name resolution, which across routers means
properly configured WINS or LMHosts files, as well as properly
configured clients to use those.
