I have SBC Yahoo Dial up and use IE6 in lieu of the Yahoo browser. I can
connect to the Internet but the browser will not display any web page. I
checked and Norton says I have no virus. Sometimes I get the message "This
page cannot be displayed."
Called SBC Yahoo, stayed online for 1 1/2 hours, and no solution. Suggested
I update modem drive. Did this. No change. Help, please! Thanks.

Hi,
Can another browser (Firefox, Mozilla, Opera, etc) display webpages? Can
Outlook Express connect?

[Assuming Windows XP]
Turn on the Windows Firewall (from Control Panel or Security Center) and
disable Norton Internet Security and other third-party security, privacy,
ad-blocking programs to see if one of them is causing this.

Another "XP only" possibility...
From Start> Run enter
ipconfig /flushdns
Then clear the Temporary Internet Files and restart.

Check for malware. Download, update and run Ad-aware, Spybot and (if running
WinXP) MS Anti-Spyware (Beta.)

Thank you for taking time to help me. Tried the things you suggested, nothing
worked so I called a technician who took the computer to his shop. He said
what you suggested was very good and will save him some time.
