In reading through the posts I saw a few similar to my problem but not
exactly...here goes. I am running Win XP pro with IE 6. Have all patches
for IE and the OS. When clicking the IE icon the program starts fine, the
browser window opens to the full screen. When I click a link to open a
browser window for example from within an email, the new window appears to
open but it quickly drops into the task bar minimized. The only way to see
the window is to right click and hit "maximize." I have run system file
checker, everything seems ok, help??

Hi,

Try this: make sure you have only one window of IE open
(the one that is minimized). Right-click on its icon in
the taskbar, and choose "Restore". Manually drag the
borders of the window to nearly fit the whole screen, but
make sure it is not maximized. Close that window and start
IE again.

Does that help?

Kind regards

Hans
