Hi Tony
I use a dual monitor system and use one monitor to open 2
x 5 (2 horizontal and 5 vertical) small browser windows to
display small text definition files for checking with
FrontPage 2003.
After recent IE 6.0 updates I have not been able to reduce
the windows to the previous 10% (2 x 5 size). If a window
is reduced so that 2 can fit across the monitor windows
disappear when the are reduced vertically below a certain
size (about 33% of monitor height)

You have not mentioned which version of Windows you are running, sooo...I'm
going to provide a little bit of each here to get you started, but, please
let us know which OS you have so that perhaps I and others can provide more
specific information for you.
Now.... let's get started.
)
To tile windows-
If you need to work on the small window only, open to that one and then
close
all other windows>right click on your Task Bar, either on the open space on
the right or left end>select "Tile Windows Horizontally" and IE will
maximize; close IE. Re-open IE and it will be maximized.
or..................
Open Internet Explorer, resize to your desired size, then click file >
close.
Internet Explorer should now remember your last saved window size.
or..........
For XP Pro: Windows IE> Tools> Folder Options>View......
Look to see if "Remember each folders view settings" has a check mark in its
box.
or..........
Make sure Internet Explorer is not open. Now navigate to the folder
H_Key_Current_User/Software/Microsoft/Internet Explorer/Main...
and on the right side delete the entry Window_Placement
or......
To control the size of primary and secondary IE windows, start by closing
all IE windows. Then launch IE, right-click on any link, and choose Open in
New Window. Size the secondary window the way you want all such windows to
be. Now close it by clicking on the X icon at the top-right corner while
holding down the Shift key. Repeat this for the primary window that remains.
You may have to repeat the process from time to time.
If you always want your home page to open in precisely the same size and
position, you can add a little JavaScript to the home page URL. Select
Internet Options from the Tools menu and edit the Address line in the Home
Page panel so it looks something like this: javascript:resizeTo(1024,400);
moveTo(0,0);document.location.href='
http://www.google.com'.
or.........
Manually resize the window to the desired size by dragging the edge/s. Then,
holding the Control (Ctrl) key, close the window (hit the window's 'X"
button to close).
Your browser window should then reopen to the same size (and position on the
screen) as when it was last closed using the Ctrl key per above.
or........
Resize your I.E. window, hold down your Shift + Ctrl + Alt and click the X
on the I.E. window. Reopen I.E.

If you have installed any software that modifies standard system components,
eg to give a different boot screen, or even custom theme, uninstall it
before installing either service pack.
Also, SP2 includes all the items in SP1, and may further update some of
them. It is not necessary to install SP1 before getting SP2; nor to
iuninstall it or any other Microsoft Windows Updates.
