browser will not connect to google.com

When I type in google.com in my address bar from my
homepage (MSN), I get an error message from my IE
6.0.2800.1106. It says that IE has encountered a problem
and restarts my homepage. It also says it it sending an
error report. I have tried to enable, disable or add
google to a trusted site with the same "error" results.
If anyone has an idea, I would welcome it. Thanks!

HOSTS file problem?
Look also for a file named HOSTS (no extension, could be hidden) rename it
OLDHOSTS, reboot.

A parasite is the probable cause.

Remove all the parasites on your computer.
Delete all the spywares and bad BHOs from your system.

If you find the out the problem fix, let me know...mine is
doing that also and to Yahoo search and several MSN
download sites as well as multiple other sites. Thanks
