I am runnings XP and IE 6.0. When I double click IE, the
home page starts to load and then just as it is
finishing, a sudden error message pops up that
says: "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Error, C:\Program
Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe"

When I click "OK" in the error message box, the browser
instantly closes and I am back at the desktop.

I went to Microsoft and downloaded the latest service
pack for Internet Explorer, but no improvement.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I'm having the exact same problem...any suggestions would
be appreciated! Microsoft wants to charge me to tell me
how to fix it!
