I installed Defender yesterday and i couldn't find the function "Browser
restore".
MS Antispyware had this function...why did you remove it?
I uninstalled Defender and i will use Antispyware beta 1 instead...and if i
get Defender installed when i do a update i will uninstall it all together.
You where on the right track with Antispyware but Defender is like taking
ten steps back...to bad.

I miss the Browser restore function too. However the tools that were kept in
Windows Defender are more advanced than the ones in MSAS Beta 1 and I am very
pleased with Windows Defender. There are browser restore functions within
Spybot S&D (advanced mode) and Ad Aware SE Personal. They are both available
to everyone using Windows Defender. Windows Defender has protection functions
that are not available in other freeware and is a very advanced tool.
Besides, MSAS Beta 1 will eventually be phased out.

um, no they don't. The "browser pages" function of SpyBot is not the same as
browser RESTORE in the anti-spyware product. You can change browser pages,
but you have to know what to change them to. MS Anti-Spyware had this feature
and it was very useful.

The feature in ad-aware personal is also pretty lame in comparison. MS
Anti-Spyware (GIANT AntiSpyware) browser restore feature needs to be brought
back or the Defender will go down hill and be just crap.
