browser problems

HI,

I am hopinf that someone oot there has had a simular
problem, i currently have 2 questions. I am using IE 6.
The problems are on different PC's
The problems are.

1. I have set up a home page in IE however when the PC
reboots thae home page changes to a different page, then I
originaly set up. It always goes to the same page when it
reboots. How can I stop the homepage from changing?

2. This problem is more of a concern. I am using DSL and
and can surph in IE. I get a lot of pop ups when on the
internet (no problem. I then close IE and can come back to
the PC in 10 - 20 minutes and i have 10 IE session open.
What the heck is going on? How can i eliminate this
problem? I have down loaded Zone alarm and when I lock
the internet it stops, but I then can not use a different
pc in the houe to get to that pc? HELP!!!

Are you sure you don't have a web based virus ? Seems to
me I had both happen once a long time ago & that's what it
was. Probly your only recourse is to format hard drive and
start fresh....I use PC Cillin which scans internet, email
and sets up a firewall for you...if you don't use them you
may want to change. I've had no problems in the 2 yrs I've
been using them.
