As with most folks I had a number of problems after I up-
graded to 2000 andloaded the WIndows updates. Everything
seems to be working now except both IE and Netscape
browers cause the system to lock up of reboot about mid-
way through loading up the first window. It is definitely
in the browser set-up somewhere because the IP links work
fine indenpendently of the browsers. Any suggestions? I
have tried resetting to original settings and it did not
help.

Rob,

Do you get any errors? Does anything get added to the Event Logs after this happens? What happens if you set IE's
Home Page to Blank and then try to run IE? It does not sound like it is specific to the IE files since Netscape is doing the
same thing. The fact the system is rebooting on its own is leading to something in Kernel Mode and the first thing that
comes to mind would be the driver for our connecting device, i.e. modem or network card.
