I have reinstalled Win XP home many times in the last few months only to
find a very unstable browser problem. This effects any browser, IE,
Netscape....
I have enough internet capability to get programs that use the internet
like msn to start at startup. Once MSN is running MSN does not quite after
a short period, but all browsers seem to stop working within a minute after
loading windows.
I am in safe mode now and everything is working great.
The only difference, hardwarewise, that I have changed since back when
my computer used to work, is I have a "Lucent Win Modem" that is not being
used as the internet connection.
Could the browser, or connection, somehow get confused there?
I am confused as to what could be the problem. For the most part that
modem is disabled in Device Manager
If anyone has a clue what could be a problem please respond.
