After the update to SP2 (this was last year) I can no longer view maps on camping reservation web
sites. I contacted the webmasters but they say that I need to configure my browser properly,
which I have... and still the problem occures. Specifically, when the map
loads, nothing seems to comes up other than this message: "Please Wait...Currently Loading Map And Preparing Site Data... " I can wait for ever and the map will not load. But if I scroll down, I will see the bottom half of the map. It's always only the bottom half that can be viewed.

Here is the site in question, however I've had the same problem on many sites that have maps.

Can any one help? Please! Thanks!

Do you keep your PC updated through windows update, if not there is a patch for this particular problem.

I've looked for patches to fix this problem however I've not found any. I'm thinking of simply goind to FireFox. You recommend a simple browser change? I never considered this cause' I've always used I.E.

is it only since you updated To XP SP2 that you have the problem?

Yeah. Prior to the update all was well.

According to the webmaster of this specific site, the following browser settings must be in order:

Your browser MUST have the following settings:

Cookies must be enabled.
Javascript (Not Java) must be turned on.
SSL Must be enabled.
Your 'Cache' should be set to 'Check Every Time'.

In all honesty, I have looked for many hours to verify all these settings without any success. Perhaps you can guide me to verify that all is as it should be...

Thanks,

Now that happened to me a year ago what I did was this; uninstalled SP2 [rolled it back] it then worked fine;

if you dont know how to do that I will tell you.

I have no clue. Are you suggesting that I do the same and uninstall SP2? I will try anything to fix this problem...

Thanks.

I do appreciate your help.

Do this.

Start>settings>control panel>add and remove programs> look for SP2 > uninstall> it will ask are you sure you want to roll back to the previous version YES. You can always revert back to SP2.by means of what you did before.

SP2 can be a pain in the neck unless you purchase an OS with it on, as the update is a bit troublesome and that’s putting it mildly.

Do you forsee any problems by doing this?? Any bad side effects?
