I use a site called www.freetvonline.com and I am having problems with my the
browser closing when I play media on this particular site.
Basically I have replied before to this newsgroup and no one has come up
with a soloution for me. I use Windows XP home and IE 6 and have a broadband
connection. What is happening that when I click on a Quicktime link to play
a stream the usual standard error message from Microsoft comes up. Sometimes
straight away and then other times a minute or two later.
The message appears to say a jscript.dll file in the error log is causing
the problem and I have tried re-registering the offending file and updated my
script engine as well.
When I click on Windows media link I don't have a problem. So I have tried
disabling Windows Media Player plugin from my add-ons and this seems to cure
the problem when watching streams on Quicktime. Some streams are linked to
Quicktime and some are Windows Media Player.
Does this mean I have to disable plugins in my addons in IE6 to watch
streams? Is there some kind of confict going on? Can anyone please help me
with my problem or is this quite normal to disable add ons when you have
browser plug in problems?
Do I have a serious problem that needs addressing?

Rob
